Dr. Anne Albers and Dr. Laxmi Mehta along with others testified before the Ohio House Education Committee on May 12, 2015, in support of Ohio House Bill 113 and the incredible importance of requiring high school students to receive CPR training prior to graduation. Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, most often because the victim does not receive timely and effective CPR; five minutes can make all the difference in survival. Ohio schools are already preparing students with life skills, and the cardiovascular community considers CPR skills to be among the most critical. We are ready to help implement HB 113 and help put thousands of potential lifesavers into the community each year.
