Cardiology Day at the Capitol:Â Advocating for a Healthy Ohio

Ohio-ACC Legislative Day held its legislative day and addressed three items in the budget bill, HB 166: Tobacco to 21, Telemedicine, Task Force on Physician, Nursing, and Allied Health Care Work Force, and SB 14/HB 63 addressing transparency of drug pricing.
Members visited their Ohio representatives and senators to introduce them to the aforementioned legislation and cardiology issues facing them and their patients. Building relationships with state lawmakers helps to ensure that the Ohio General Assembly remains informed about issues facing providers and patients. We were also honored to have Lindsay Davis address our group to share her advocacy story. Special thanks to Monica Hueckel and Kelsey Hardin with the OSMA and Dustin Holfinger with AHA.
